Buying a unit
There is most likely a happy owner near you who will be happy to welcome you on one of his worksites to show you all the advantages and benefits of an Easy Lift unit. Just click the link below and we will put you in touch with one or more owners, come and visit us!
Since the entry into force of the NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement between Canada, Mexico and the United States) in 1994, all goods are free to circulate in North America. In 2018, a renegotiation occurred but the conditions remained essentially the same. We will deliver your unit directly to your door, without any hassle or additional costs.
Financing is not our business but, we have worked closely with third parties for several years. We will happily collaborate with the financial institution of your choice.
Once the choice of the unit and selection of options are complete, a contractual commitment will be sent to you. A deposit is required to put your unit in production, and preparation of your unit then starts. Once the final invoice has been paid, we deliver your unit right to your door.
Remember, we are in Canada. All our units are tested at UPequip’s head office in Verchères, Quebec, where the temperature variation is from the hottest and wettest in July (82F) to the coldest of February (23F). If our equipment performs under these conditions, it will certainly perform where you work.
We also offer a winter starter kit for Arctic conditions. Do you need a unit in Alaska? We will send you one, and it will work!
Some models have very few electronic components, which are used to provide all the security required to reach the incredible horizontal reach offered by Easy Lift units. But you will mainly find electrical components in our units: simple components such as relays, switches, fuses and … voltage! That’s all! No more headaches caused by components and controllers that are too sensitive to temperature variations.
Easy Lift also makes very limited use of diagnostic connectors, which tend to corrode and stretch. Our smallest units do not have any, and the unit that carries the most will have 2 maximum – for the whole machine.
All our units are CSA, RE, RU and ANSI certified, without exception. This means that they meet the security standards required to ensure safe operation, but it also means that they have successfully passed the famous (and terribly demanding) Drop Test.
The Drop Test is an essential step to obtain the mandatory CSA B-354 certification for all self-propelled platforms sold, rented or operated on Canadian territory. It makes it possible to assess the consequences when a unit is placed in an extreme position and its operator is ejected from the basket. “Extreme position” means that the horizontal limit of the equipment is reached based on a weight of 350 pounds and that the stability system has reached its limit. A weight is then hung 3 feet outside the basket and released at the end of a 4-foot safety lanyard. It’s pretty violent as a test, and very impressive. Several competitors’ units have failed to pass this test and their sale is therefore prohibited in Canada. All Easy Lift units have successfully passed the CSA Drop Test.
We use Honda engines for our gasoline units, Hatz engines for diesel units, and Kubota engines for two specific models.
Honda engines offer legendary reliability, and their ubiquity allows you to find replacement parts quickly wherever you are. In addition, Honda guarantees its engines for a full year, regardless of the number of hours of operation. Finally, conversion to propane is possible with Honda engines, giving even more flexibility.
Hatz engines are by far the best small diesel engines on the market. Very robust, they are very popular in the compaction industry. They have all the attributes sought for a compact lift. Air-cooled, they have no external components to the block such as a radiator, belt, alternator or water pump. They come pre-assembled in a single block. They require minimal maintenance and offer excellent performance and a very long service life. Hatz offers a full 2 year warranty on its engines, again regardless of the number of hours of use.
Kubota engines are used on 2 of our compact units: the 87-48AJ and the 101-48AJ. The reason is simple: Kubota is the manufacturer that offers the best power vs dimension ratio, and the ideal power for these 2 units while respecting the space available for the engine in the unit.
Yes. This is a standard feature. All Easy Lift units are hybrid, and allow you to work in combustion or electric mode. Beware that this neat feature is offered as an option for most of other units on the market. According to the situation and the needs of your customers, you will have all the flexibility to be able to work in the 2 modes, combustion or electric. All our units are equipped with 110V or 208-240V AC electric motors, allowing you to work without polluting emissions.
On most units, all hydraulic hoses and electrical harnesses run outside the mast, making inspection, maintenance and repair easier. These components are protected either by aluminum tubes or by indestructible thermoplastic reinforcements (Power Track) and metal covers. The immediate benefit for you is that any hydraulic service company can, on site, make a temporary or permanent repair, or even replace a hose all together. All hoses are fitted with 2 or 3 protective strands in accordance with the North American standard.
Don’t waste your time, you won’t succeed. Depending on your unit, either the passive or active stability control system will always prevent you from tipping over. The active stability management system uses a simple mechanism accompanied by redundant limit switches that are pre-set and calibrated by our technicians. Despite its awesome simplicity, it is extremely reliable and no, you won’t push your unit over any limit, even if you are very creative. The passive management system is fed with key sensors that knows exactly where you can (and equally importantly where you can’t) go. Simple, safe and impossible to cheat.
All the units use real live hydraulic levers which will react to the intensity of the movements printed by the operator. Compact and large units are equipped with Penny & Giles basket controls to ensure smooth and proportional transmission of operator movements.
All units are certified safe when operated with a wind speed of 45 km / h (28 mph) or less. The metal is made from Domex, an extremely strong alloy from the Swedish company SSAB. All metal components are 100% laser cut, welded in Italy on molds by CNC certified programmers and welders, resulting in a smaller, lighter finish and unparalleled aesthetics. That provides an overall elasticity that is required and that may require some taming.
Delivery
When your unit leaves our workshops, we will send you an email which will include a familiarization guide that will allow you to take charge when the transporter arrives. If you ever need real-time help during unloading, call us, we will be happy to guide you.
The unit will be delivered to the address provided. If you do not have a loading dock, you will need to hire a towing truck with a swivel platform to unload your unit. This is the usual method: most of our customers have received their unit like this without any problems. The driver will be advised to contact you 6 to 12 hours before arrival to allow you to coordinate with the towing company.
We use all of the express shipping services you’re used to such as FedEx, UPS, and more. If the order is completed before cutoff, you will receive your part the next day, anywhere in the United States.
For Continental North America, no more than week and a half, depending on the final destination and the options chosen. We spend 25 to 40 hours on each unit to ensure product quality and installation of options. For special or custom orders, manufacturing and assembly will go from 3 to 7 months.
We do our best to keep most popular units stock. Delivery timeline is provided according to our shop schedule. If unit chosen is a special order or not in stock, delivery date will then reflect manufacturer’s production. We are transparent and we keep our customers fully informed throughout the process.
